I built TSFI to expose that hidden waste, sharpen the decisions that drive it, and turn raw load data into profit intelligence you can actually use — before the wheels move, not after.

The Founder Story
Why I Built This.
I’m from Moncks Corner, South Carolina — a small town where you learn early that nothing comes free and the math always tells the truth. I left for Jacksonville, Florida at 20. Memphis in 2004. New York in 2019. Retired in 2022 with a B.S. in Mathematics behind me and 35 years in air traffic control — the last 6 of those as a supervisor.
For most of that career I was in the seat — making split-second decisions with millions of dollars and hundreds of lives in the math. Real-time data. High-stakes calls. No room for guessing. The last 6 years I supervised, watching teams of controllers make those decisions, catching the patterns no single controller could see, accountable for the outcomes of an entire airspace.
After 35 years of running decision systems, I wanted to understand trucking from the inside. So I went to 160 Driving Academy, got my CDL, and got on the road.
What I saw broke something open. The moment it clicked: I sat 3 days in a small town in western Pennsylvania waiting on a load. Got dispatched near-empty to Wisconsin. Sat another 2 days. Then took a load to Waco I didn’t want — because I couldn’t afford to keep waiting.
5 days of dead time. A run I didn’t pick. A rate I didn’t negotiate.
From the supervisor’s chair I’d have caught that pattern in minutes. But on the road, nobody had the data to see it coming. There was no supervisor layer. No one watching the math for the operator who was too busy operating to catch it themselves.
The math wasn’t mathing. Loads paying weak rates. Deadhead miles eating margin nobody was counting. Fuel costs hidden inside trip-profitability spreadsheets nobody actually opened. Dispatchers making moves on gut feel because the data wasn’t built for them.
I built TSFI for myself first — the supervisor I wished I’d had every time I was sitting at a truck stop trying to figure out whether the next load was worth taking.
Now it’s built. And the industry is on notice.
